Old Bridge is the third largest community in Middlesex County. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Social Services and the Township Council are striving to bring new recreational facilities, including a public golf course and a recreational community center into the municipality.
The Middlesex County community boasts of a prime central New Jersey locale with quick access to commuter routes, shopping opportunities and family attractions, including popular shore points. Routes 9, 18, 34 and 35 cross Old Bridge, connecting travelers to New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway and I-287. For Manhattan-bound passengers, NJ Transit trains from the nearby Aberdeen-Matawan station arrive at New York’s Penn Station in about 50 minutes.
