Manalapan Township is in Monmouth County

Manalapan Township is a suburb of New York City with a population of 39,702 and is one of the best places to live in New Jersey. Manalapan Township and Englishtown Borough were originally part of Freehold Township. Located 15 miles from NJ beaches & just 49 miles from the night life and shows New York City. Convenient to the Poconos, Philadelphia, Delaware, Maryland and NYC. Living in Manalapan Township offers residents a suburban feel and most residents own their homes.  Manalapan is close to major malls, lakes, ponds, streams, State Parks, camp grounds, Wemrock, Battleground and Delicious Orchards etc.

Two most popular development in Manalapan is knob hills and meadow creek

 Knob Hill is a condo community located on Rt.33 on the west side of the Manalapan.  It was built in the 2000s. It has two distinctive styles of homes, there are 416 single level condos located in three story buildings with 2 bedrooms and approximately 1600 sqft. 149 townhouses 3-4 bedrooms between 1,700-2400 sqft. They are also 181 single family detached homes in knob hill. These homes have 3 or 4 bedrooms, 2 car garages and some have a basement.  This community has an 18-hole golf course, tennis & basket ball courts, club house and outdoor pool to enjoy. These houses sells really fast and it is very popular for both rental and resell. The average condo about 300- 400s. the single-family homes around in the price range 500-600sK range.

Another development is Meadow Creek. It was build around 2006-2012. It has two sections, one is town house and another one is a single family homes.  It has about 300 townhomes. The townhomes are multi-level offering around 3-4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and gas fire place. About 1800-2200 sqft.  Condo are about 400-500, 000 range.

It has about 220 single family homes. 7 model s to choose from.  Average homes around Single family home in the 600-800K range.

Transportation: Bus, Train, and Ferry

Bus : You can get the bus from Route 9, one of the major bus station on Route 9 is Gordon’s corner to port authority is about little over 1 hours. The fair is about $13.75 and monthly past is about $324. . you can get yearly parking pass which is pretty cheap like $100 something for a whole year of parking.

Train : Have to drive to Matawan station and park and then take the train: about 45 minutes you can get into Penn station NY. One way fare is $13.75 with a monthly pass costing $386.

Ferry : There is water ferry from highland to NYC. Sea streak ferry, A cost for a daily trip is $26 and $45 for a round trip. Guests can also purchase ticket books: 10 trips for $205

The district has 8 schools, it had about 5085 students: 4811 from Manalapan and 274 from Englishtown.

It has one preschool: John I. Dawes Early Learning Center with 365 students in PreK and K.

5 elementary schools: Clark Mills School with 491 students in grades 1-5, Lafayette Mills School with 489 students in grades 1-5, Milford Brook School with 523 students in grades K-5, Taylor Mills School with 600 students in grades K-5, Wemrock Brook School with 626 students in grades 1-5

2 Middle schools: Pine Brook School with 563 students in sixth grade and Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School with 1,227 students in grades 7 and 8

Manalapan high school:  One of six high schools in the Freehold Regional High School District, Manalapan High School currently provides educational services for approximately 1,800 students.
